Landmark Win
Josies Kid secured our 50th seasonal victory in the UK, winning the ‘Illuminate Christmas Ball Handicap’ at Chelmsford on November 10th. The four-year-old Ardaad gelding displaying resilience after two placed finishes in October, clinched the Chelmsford Handicap by a neck under the skilful guidance of apprentice Christian Howarth.
Yard In Form
Our yard has been enjoying a successful run recently notching two additional victories last week courtesy of Kieran O’Neill.
Smart Deal dominated the Selling Stakes at Chelmsford on November 7th with an impressive 4-length lead, while Golden Arrow, a promising two-year-old by Havana Grey, secured a convincing two-and-a-quarter length victory in a Novice Stakes at Lingfield on November 5th. Despite facing setbacks earlier in the year, Golden Arrow showcased a strong comeback, hinting at a bright future for the upcoming season.
Parisiac, under the joint ownership of Gary Allsopp, Justin Byrne, and our racing club, achieved his fourth career win at the final Newmarket HQ meeting of the year. This significant win marked a notable milestone as the first winning partnership with our apprentice, Tommie Jakes.
Hala Emaraaty came close to clinching a black type win at Deauville in the Listed Criterium de Vitesse, falling short by a mere head despite a brilliant ride from jockey Mickael Barzalona.
Equal Best Year on Wins
Cavaluccio’s resilient performance on Armistice Day at Chelmsford secured another winner, bringing our total winners for the year to 52. This achievement equals our best record in terms of winners (2022) and surpasses our best previous year in terms of prize money.
With six more weeks left in the current year, anticipation is high for what the upcoming weeks may bring.
