Snafiya keeps things rolling at Doncaster
Girl Magic showed a fantastic attitude to secure her second success over Lingfield’s six furlong turf track, and in the process brought up our 100th domestic winner. She’s proven to be a really likeable type ever since breaking her maiden in May of her two-year-old career, this being her fourth win in 12 starts, and that attitude she displayed has certainly helped her get her head in front in some competitive sprint races. She clearly gets on really well with Rowan Scott, and it wouldn’t surprise us if there was more to come on fast ground – if and when we ever get that again in this country!
The next hundred was kicked off in very good style by a newcomer to our yard, the two-year-old filly Snafiya. She put her experience and slow ground form to good use at Doncaster on Saturday, getting a no-nonsense straightforward ride from Thore Hammer Hansen and stretching away in decent style late on. The winning margin was a comfortable 3 3/4L at the line and she demonstrated useful ability along with a touch of temperament! Nurseries are very much an option for her now, and a different race set up could see her in an even better light.
