To The Bar

2018 Gelding – Tamayuz (GB) x Coachhouse Lady (USA)

To The Bar was a smart juvenile who began his three-year-old season rated as high as 96.

He’s been lightly-raced since and has found himself on a mark in the 60s having been unable to replicate his early form, but he was a cheap purchase with what we considered to be plenty of upside.

He won his most recent start at Newcastle over the straight seven furlongs, was not badly treated by the handicapper, and has options back there in the near future.

Golden Horde x Ebble '22

2022 Filly – Golden Horde x Ebble

A half-sister to the black type-placed Ebbesbourne, this filly is by the very sharp Commonwealth Cup winner and first season sire Golden Horde and we were delighted to secure her from the Arqana yearling sale last year.

A very straightforward filly with a lovely temperament, she’s done everything that’s been asked of her in the early stages of her training and she’s one who’s likely to see the track some time in May.

Kameko x Fourth Way '22

2022 Colt – Kameko x Fourth Way

This son of the 2000 Guineas winner and first season sire Kameko is a real racy, flashy-looking type who should be seeing the track in late spring or early summer.

A Book 3 yearling out of a black type-placed mare, he has taken the early stages of the training process really well and has the page to be improving nicely throughout the latter part of his juvenile season.

Magna Grecia x Jardin d'Hiver '22

2022 Filly – Magna Grecia x Jardin d'Hiver

This filly is a really classy-looking individual with plenty of size about her. She displays plenty of athleticism to go with her size and shapes like she’ll progress really well with time.

Her sire won the mile Group 1 for two-year-olds & the 2000 Guineas and has shown the ability to pass on some decent speed to his progeny, although with this filly’s size and dam side page she is likely to be starting over seven furlongs in mid-summer.

Sioux Nation x Soineanta '22

2022 Filly - Sioux Nation x Soineanta

Purchased from the Tattersalls Ireland sale as a yearling, this filly is by a promising young sire in Sioux Nation who’s sired several group winners in his first two crops.

She is the first foal out of a half-sister to the G3 winner Flying Visit, and is a really racy filly who has done plenty of developing in the early part of the year. By a sharp stallion, she should be one of our earlier runners in the spring.

ex Ruby Shoes '22

2022 Filly – Kodiac (GB) x Ruby Shoes (IRE)

This filly was purchased by me from the Tattersalls Ireland September yearling sale.

Her Gleneagles half-brother Livinthelife is already a winner for us on handicap debut, and we would expect him to continue to develop throughout his three-year-old season.

They are out of the winning Rock Of Gibraltar mare Ruby Shoes, who is herself a full sister to the dual Listed winner Allexina. It’s their half-siblings who have really shone, however, with Saddler’s Rock successful in the G2 Goodwood and Doncaster Cups, and Tarfasha also successful at G2 level as well as placing in the Oaks.

I am a big fan of Kodiac and really enjoy training his progeny, and based on what I’ve seen from this filly so far she will be no exception.
